Tutorial: How to Fill-in Data in the mapCrowd?

GENERAL TIPS

1. Use Google Chrome to access the mapCrowd platform. Other web browsers may not display all the options or save your progress correctly;

2. For some data points you will have a simple choice between yes, no and unknown

3. In empty boxes you can enter figures for prices, prevalence estimates, other numbers. In some of the boxes you will be prompted to write a short text to complement the information you provided in other data points;

4. For some data points there will be multiple choices;

5. There is a comment section linked to each data point (in diagnostics) or section (in treatment and policy) where you’ll be able to provide sources of the data and/or give more details about the data you provided. For instance, we request specific prices on diagnostics and treatments. You should enter the prices paid by public and private health systems. In the comment section, you can also indicate the out-of-pocket cost for patients, if some patients can access the medicines for free, or other relevant information. The comment section looks like this:

Prices requested in the HCV diagnostics and HCV treatment sections can be entered in any currency. You will choose the currency of your preference when starting a new data entry, and it will be automatically converted to US$ for the public section of the website, taking into account the current exchange rates.

Save your work!
After entering data, please remember to save your work by clicking on any of the three saving buttons at the end of each section. The system allows you to fill in as many fields as you want in a session, and to log out and come back to it later as long as you save your progress as you fill in the fields.
