NOW is the Time for Hepatitis C Virus Elimination

Hepatitis C-related liver diseases continue to kill an estimated 15,000 people per year in the United States, despite the availability of an effective cure.

Treatment Action Group (TAG) released a publication that makes the case for prioritizing hepatitis C virus (HCV) elimination domestically, in keeping with the Viral Hepatitis National Strategic Plan: 2021 – 2025. It outlines pertinent barriers to HCV care among key populations, as well as action steps for proactively addressing them to diagnose and treat more people living with HCV.
